For the love of egg nog

My girls love egg nog. The minute it appears on the shelves at the store, which is shortly after the 4th of July, they beg and beg and beg for me to buy it. I refuse to buy it until thanksgiving and then it is carefully rationed at a perfect milk to eggnog ratio, so as not to run out too quickly. I must admit, I have chugged it straight, when no one was home of course. Last night in the car the girls started singing Christmas songs, but changed all the words to capture their love of egg nog. I don't know if I can edit this video to shorten it, if not push stop at anytime, but I thought they were pretty clever.

After 5 years, and realizing that blogging is a great way to journal my life, I've decided to start it up again.  It has been so fun to look back at how little the girls were and how funny life was each day.  Life has changed so much.  The last time I posted the girls were 11, 8, 6, and 4.  Now they are 17, 14, 12 and 10.  I have two in high school, one in middle school, and only one left in elementary.  Instead of funny little things that they say, I find more things I am learning from them.  Although its hard to see them grow up, it is so fun to see that they are becoming smart, responsible, confident young woman.  I am realizing how hard it is to parent teenagers and that I need to pray for help everyday.  The girls are still funny, and I laugh everyday...especially at the youngest.  Laughter really is the best medicine.  This week was half days for the two youngest because of parent teacher conferences.  Its been fun having them home early everyday.  Today we gave each other pedicures.  Just one of the benefits of having girls!
